Accelerating Online Learning with ProctorFree
Last week, ProctorFree continued the education conference season and attended OLC Accelerate in Orlando, FL. The annual three-day conference from November 16 to November 18 brought together the brightest minds in online education to discuss accelerating online learning. The Online Learning Consortium hosts a variety of conferences throughout the year that draw each and every member of the online education community to collaborate and learn.
Sessions and presentations each day highlighted how peers are accelerating online learning worldwide. Eric McGee, Vice President of Partnership Development at ProctorFree, presented on Thursday of the conference. Attendees learned how to improve programs through serving all types of customers, including Internal Customers – those co-workers and colleagues who may not be your end user but benefit from your services.

Jim Fong, the Director of the Center for Research and Marketing Strategy for UPCEA, believes that alternative credentials will continue to be a higher education trend. Also, Fong believes that the new adult learner will be younger and more technology-savvy than in the past. In an interview with JMH Consulting about trends in higher education, Fong states that higher education has an opportunity to challenge itself again and that he is excited to see what millennials and higher education leaders can build together.
Technology innovation will continue to support new, and current, learning and development trends into the new year. HR Dive states that video learning will continue to enable micro-learning, millennials will continue to value learning and development as prime benefits from employers, gamification and virtual reality will continue to enhance learning experiences, and mobile learning will continue to expand employee development goals in 2017.
