On April 7th, I will be attending the UPCEA Annual Conference in San Diego, CA. Over the past 10 years, the UPCEA Annual Conference has become the one professional education event that I most enjoy; and I’m looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new colleagues at this year’s event. This will be my first UPCEA conference as a member of the ProctorFree team, so I’m particularly excited about this year’s event.
We are now UPCEA corporate members. I’ve personally been involved with UPCEA for many years, and ProctorFree has participated in a number of UPCEA events. We felt it was important for us to confirm our commitment to the higher education and UPCEA by becoming corporate members, so that we can fully engage with our colleagues across the country and world.
We’re celebrating the newest release of our software, which was just introduced on March 1, 2016 We’re proud of our new streamlined student experience and simpler reporting features for faculty and staff. We will be demonstrating our new software at 3:30 PM on Thursday, April 07. Please email me if you can’t attend the group demonstration. This year’s theme,”The New Imperative for Higher Education: Building Opportunity for Contemporary Learners” speaks to the critical state of continuing and professional education. We view ourselves to be learning innovators, and we love to exchange ideas about trends in higher education and connect with thought leaders in the industry.
Reshma Saujani, Founder & CEO of Girls Who Code, is a keynote speaker at the conference. As a woman and veteran owned technology company, we love to hear about ways that educators are opening the doors for new leaders in technology. I’m especially interested in recent trend focused on helping young women break into software development, and I’m excited to attend this important keynote session.
We’re exhibiting! Don’t forget to swing by the exhibit hall and check out our table. We’ll have some great information about ProctorFree available for you to take back to your college or university. While you are more likely to find me sitting in on General and Concurrent sessions, than standing behind our exhibit table; I’m usually around the exhibit during breaks and scheduled exhibit hall events.
