NC IDEA, a non-profit organization committed to supporting business innovation and economic development in North Carolina, has selected ProctorFree as a finalist for the Spring 2013 Grant Cycle. ProctorFree is 1 of 11 finalists and the only company from the Charlotte region to move forward in the competition. The finalists were chosen after a rigorous application process that began in March 2013. 159 companies applied for grant funding and 30 were selected as semi-finalists. Semi-finalists were required to submit a comprehensive business plan and 11 finalists were chosen to move forward in the competition.
ProctorFree will travel to Durham, NC on Friday, May 10th to give their final pitch presentation to a panel of judges. If selected as a winner, ProctorFree will be awarded up to $50,000 to support the company’s development, sales, and marketing efforts. NC IDEA funds and mentorship typically catalyze a company’s growth within a matter of months after receiving the grant.
NC IDEA will choose up to 7 winners for the Spring 2013 grant cycle. Grant winners will be notified by the end of May.
