Charlotte, N.C. – The Director of Partner Relations at ProctorFree, Jeffrey Kaplan, will be presenting at two upcoming September educational conferences.

The first conference, The North Carolina Community College Adult Educators Conference (NCCCAEA), will be held in Durham, N.C. from Sept. 24-26. The conference, ran by the North Carolina Community College Adult Educators Association, is held annually to inform members on topics such as auditing, budgeting, and legislative updates. Kaplan’s presentation titled, “Engaging Students in Online Classes by Destroying the Traditional Lecture,” is focused on comparing the traditional classroom structure and online education by showcasing how to create an engaging, experiential, and meaningful online course.

“I am really looking forward to presenting at both of these conferences. My goal is to create an interactive experience with the attendees so that they will leave with useful skills to use in their classes. For example, at NCCCAEA, attendees will have to think like entrepreneurship students in a class on opportunity recognition and actually pitch a business idea,” said Kaplan.

The second conference, organized by Quality Matters, “The Sixth Annual Conference on Quality Assurance in Online Learning, Charting the Course,” will be held from Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Baltimore, Md. The conference will allow participants the opportunity to connect with education professionals who have had success creating online courses. Kaplan’s presentation is titled “Reducing Stress to Increase Student Exam Performance,” and will be focused on the effects of student performance due to stress, and anxiety.

“QM hopes that vendor presentations will add an important and useful dimension to our annual conference. Jeff Kaplan’s session for ProctorFree, on reducing student stress to increase student performance, should help us accomplish this goal,” said Jim Synder, marketing director at Quality Matters.

Kaplan will be presenting at NCCCAEA on Sept. 24 at 3:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. At QM, he will be presenting on Oct. 1 at 2:50 to 3:15 p.m.
