NC IDEA Awards Grant to ProctorFree

NC IDEA Awards High-Growth Technology Startup:

ProctorFree

NC IDEA, an organization committed to supporting business innovation and economic advancement in North Carolina, has chosen ProctorFree as a grant winner for the Spring 2013 grant cycle. Recipients are chosen after a highly competitive four-month application and selection process, which drew 159 applications from 24 counties across the state. Out of the 159 applicants, only 5 companies were selected as winners. ProctorFree was the only Charlotte company selected in this cycle.

NC IDEA’s grant program is a catalyst for technological breakthroughs developed in North Carolina that have a significant potential to successfully transition into commercially viable high-growth enterprises. “This experience has been exceedingly rewarding, driving ProctorFree to focus on strengthening our mission in the Startup community,” stated Velvet Nelson, co-founder of ProctorFree. “We feel honored being chosen and eager to press forward in succeeding growth.” ProctorFree has been working diligently at building strategic partnerships and advancing development for their product expansion. A raising acknowledgement has educationalists reaching out to the company; knowing this is the answer to a growing problem of validating online learning.
